On
July 5th, the eve of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday, the four
participants of the CTA Level Science Exhibition from our school, Tenzin
Choesang, Dorjee Gurmey, Hrithar Tsering, and Samdup shared their experience
with the entire students and staffs of TCV School Selakui during the morning
assembly.
They
briefly introduced their respective projects, including the aims and objectives
of the work undertaken by them for months and the whole process of learning
involved in between. All of them encouraged the junior students to take part in
such exhibitions which will broaden the horizon of their learning and advised
them not to let their fears or doubts hinder progress.
The
participants’ sharing session was followed by a 5 minute video clip of the
exhibition event, which ended with a rousing applause from the students.
Mr.
Tenzin Jamyang, who escorted them also shared his experience and stressed on
the importance of having a good idea or a question while gearing up in carrying
out a research work. He also urged on greater participation from the students
in the next exhibition.
Mr.
Duke Tsering la, the school principal, congratulated the students and thanked
the science committee members, while also suggesting possible improvements that
could be made in preparation for participation in future science exhibitions.
The
four students were felicitated and awarded with certificates on the morning
function celebrating the birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on July 6.
