The science department in collaboration with the health committee screened the movie ‘Pad Man’ in the school hall at 7 pm. All the students from sixth to twelfth grade along with interested staffs watched the movie.
The school nurse briefed students on health issues concerning women and emphasized on the need to use sanitary pads. The science department secretary introduced students on the life of the real pad man Arunachal Muruganatham, his strives and tribulations.
The movie was shown to the students to develop a proper understanding of women, their health concerns in particular on menstruation, the need to solving problems together for healthy human relationships, and in developing sound researched based ways to come up with solutions for the problems and challenges.
